FEY began as a punk rock band formerly known as ATF in the fall of 2006. FEY has had several past names and members, and the final lineup was decided in the summer of 2009. The band’s general focus is the combination of modern experimental rock with the driving rock of the 80’s and metal of the late 80’s to present. A successful combination of the genres makes for an epic sound characteristic of climactic and explosive theatrics. FEY, by definition, means doomed, or destined to perish. The name is quite befitting of the band’s lyrical focus, which is the fact that mankind is quickly directing itself to its own demise. With destruction on the horizon, the lyrics are an attempt to expose man’s fatal flaws and fix them before the situation becomes irreparable.
