The Furious Apples formed in Coventry in the early 80's. They draw inspiration from Wasted Youth, The Only ones and The Psychedelic Furs, who in trun drew on a common heritage in The Velvet Underground. They recorded a single in 1983 Engineering b/w Belladonna which garnered some airplay from John Peel. More Furious Apples tracks were released on the compilations What A Nice Way To Turn Seventeen and Something Stirs.
