Funkie Junkie, experimental-rock band established somewhere near 2009 in Katowice, Poland. Initiative of Paul Zotscher (drums/vocals) was quickly praised by Kajetan Dobczyk (bass), who finally started to jam with him. The odd blend of dynamic grooves and late-70s rock sound of Paul's drum set with a little touch of funky bass by Kajetan, they knew that it is crucial to seek for a guitarist. They had to wait about a year to find the perfect element. The missing piece had been finally found - Marek Dowlaszewicz (Dowlasz) joined the band, adding the sound of southern-rock based low guitar and stoner, stomping solos. Nowadays (2017) the band is in hiatus - although earlier they were trying to make an effort to record the very first album. It is said, that it's going to be about reflections on modern man trying to find the meaning of life with unconventional methods. Funkie Junkie are known for their specific concerts, mystic atmosphere and great contact with the audience.
