Introduction and Genre: Fulbanu’s Revenge is an alternative band drawing inspiration from various musical genres ranging from alternative, grunge to punk, old school metal to nu metal, hip hop to jazz, funk, blues n electronic (trance, break beat, house, garage, leftfield). In terms of style, the band intends to develop a unique style of “alternative” music using elements from all the aforementioned musical genres. Regarding the name of the band, it was given by Daniel and even he isn’t sure what it stands for…but people have their own versions!!! The Band particularly like one which suggests that Fulbanu was a village girl tortured and killed by her husband and now she is back as a ghost to take revenge on her husband! History: Fulbanu’s revenge was formed way back in the December of 2000. During the initial months, the band was pretty dormant with very minimal band activity. Soon the band got rid of the line up difficulties and the band was transformed into a dynamic unit. The founding members of the band Daniel and Sakib were joined by Farhan (from Part of the Scenery) and Salim (who left Ajob to become the full time drummer of FBR). Finally the band was up and running! Since than the band has gone onto perform a number of concerts (Astra club, Shishu Academy, Russian cultural centre, Old DOHS field, Lagoon etc). Among them the most memorable was the open air one at the Old DOHS field where the band played really well and got a very good response from the crowd. After a s
