about

Fuego Santo (Spanish for Holy Fire) is a Costa Rican rock band of Christian influence formed in the humble town of Heber Springs, Arkansas in 2007 by siblings Pedro Ramirez, Saymond Calderon, and Mara Ramirez with the vision to evangelize the youth. In 2008, two more members were added: Lily Ramirez, their younger sister, who took position as vocalist, and Emanuel Calderon, their younger brother, as bassist. Together they began participating in local churches and received several invitations to different activities in the states of Arkansas, Mississippi and Texas (where they currently live). In the beginning they didn’t have a defined name, since their main focus was solely to lead the worship at their local church. It was not until 2010 that they decided to settle as a band and name it Fuego Santo. The name comes from the book of Acts 2:1-4 when the Holy Spirit came to the disciples taking in every one of them in tongues of fire, and they began to testify the gospel of Jesus Christ. In the process, three thousand people were converted. Similarly, Fuego Santo is ready to proclaim the gospel and show the world that there is hope, a way, and an opportunity, which has a name that is above every name: the name of Jesus. Their first original song is "Make me one with you” which was written by Dollybeth Chacon, mother of the members of the band. From then, they continued to create original musical arrangements and playing song covers to lead the crowd in praise and worship. Their
