With the release of their eagerly anticipated debut mix-tape “Road Works Vol 1” frontlinerz have raised the bar in underground urban grime and rap music with club bangers such as “Upfront and Down”. But just who are “frontlinerz”, consisting of 4 artists uniqe Jak Frost (mc), Reciver (mc & producer), J Black (mc) Jose (vocalist) and DJ S this collective from south and north London have impressed with their lyrical flow, extraordinary beats and are determined that success will be on their terms. The group was formed out of friendship and talent in which each member had the same vision and decided to combine their ideas to create an even stronger brand of music and performance. Each member of the group brings to the table their own individual sound resulting in a combination of styles which when merged create a unique style of music like no other. The name Frontlinerz was chosen because it represents them, were they grew up and also were they are heading “Our aim is to take our music world wide so that people are aware that artists in the UK are capable of producing high standards of hip hop music as in the US hip hop industry”. The group began making music in 2003 all with the same vision to help define UK grime/rap music as a worldwide respected force creating a mixture of music genre such as hip-hop, Rnb and garage.
