From The Ashes' sound can best be described as hi-fi progressive rock. Inspiration for their sound comes from all genres, including but not limited to jazz fusion, psychedelia, pop and electronica. Beneath the crackling, busy guitars can be found a solid, pounding rhythm section; soaring above are passionate vocals, swirling electronic vibes and heavenly orchestration. Since forming in late 2005, From The Ashes have consistently enthralled audiences with their virtuosic live performances and become favourites among Melbourne fans. Members: Jeremy 'Jiz' Spencer: guitars, orchestral arrangements, keyboards & programming Hank Probert: vocals Mike Saunders: drums Lachie Macrae: bass Previous projects include Ground (Lachie); Bugdust (Mike); 7Zark7 (Jiz); Mothdust, Roger The Band (Hank). From The Ashes have finished recording their debut album, "Incendiary", with renowned Australian producer Forrester Savell who has worked with artists such as Helmet, Karnivool and The Butterlfy Effect.
