Friendly Fire/ De La Boca was/is a punk band out of West Haven Conneticut. Known for they're over the top live preformance, they played often at local venue FYI in they're hometown. During this time they recorded a handful of demos and one cd-r album, Bigger Than Jesus, though few of these recordings have surfaced. In the summer of 06 they recorded 12 songs into a shitty 4 track, which became their second album, I Ride the Bay. In late 06' the group broke up. In the summer of 2007 they reformed and began integrating the sounds of a digital synthesizer into their music. By early '08 the band was practicing regularly and recording untold mounds of cassette demos. Summer '08 saw both the release of the mini-album You're Not Insane, You're AWESOME!!!, and the mysterious, gradual vanishing of founding guitarist/vocalist John. Despite the three current band members living in different states, they have been eager to play shows and are hoping to soon re(-cord/-lease) their third album Before You Were Born, I Killed You. current persons: Bri (guitar, synth, vox, chaos), Ray (drums), Ed (bass, keyboards, 4-track, strained order). Members of ff/dlb are/were also in Eternal Euth, Mouse Folk, Bruxia, and Ramen Numerals. www.myspace.com/friendlyfire User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
