about

Dutch rock group from Diepenheim in the Netherlands with singer/frontman André Manuel The group was formed in 1986 and consisted of André Manuel, Frits Rietman and Tonnie Elferink. In 1988 Elferink was being replaced by Adri Karsenberg. Fratsen got local fame because of it's waywardbound and critical pop and rock songs. After touring as opener for a big band from the eastern part of The Netherlands, Normaal, the latter band helped Fratsen record their first demo and album, now with Roeland Drost on keys. In 1994 the CD Snachs was picked up by the dutch media and got overwhelming reviews. The breakthrough was only a small step away but in 1995 the band decided to split up. Their latest show was in Enschede 1996 and everyone who came to the concert got their last live-CD P.U.N.T. for free. Fratsen reformed in 2014 with a new album called Caspar User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
