Laurent Blot AKA Franz Is Dead is a parisian Multi-Instrumentalist & Producer influenced by Pop Music, Stax Records, Jimi Hendrix & The Flaming Lips, among others. After having been a studio musician for years, he decides to start its own project, playing all instruments and recording demos by himself. In 2010, he releases a first mini album, “Ah-Leu-Cha” which includes “Really want you”, featured in NBC TV series “Chuck” and Norwegian movie "Fa Meg Pa, For Faen". Recorded between Stockholm and Paris, "SATAN EP" is released in february 2011. Both records are available in digital stores (iTunes, Amazon,…) On stage, friends from other bands join him to form his backing band. Franz is dead since shared stage with The Walkmen, Cults, Portugal The Man, Buck 65, The Rodeo,… A first long play album, "The man from Peru", is recorded during summer 2011, expected to come out early 2012.
