Frank Wakefield (born Franklin Delano Roosevelt Wakefield on 26 June 1934) is an innovative American mandolin player in the bluegrass music style. A former member of The Greenbriar Boys, Wakefield is known for his collaborations with a number of important and well-known bands, including Red Allen, Jimmy Martin, Don Reno, Jerry Garcia, David Grisman, The Stanley Brothers, and others.
