Beginning early 2004, American audio & visual designer Nick Viola has been writing a signature mix of heavy, harsh and unrestrained distorted rhythms overlaid with dark and textured synthesizer melodies that run the entire gamut of emotions under the name Fractured Transmission. Establishing himself and the project as one of the most sonically dense artists of the Los Angeles industrial noise scene, Fractured Transmission gained momentum thanks to club and radio play as well as an emerging fan base who quickly spread the word about the high-energy sonic assault that is Fractured Transmission live. As of today, Fractured Transmission has remixed dozens of artists and appeared on numerous compilations as well as released a slew of limited run EP’s, one-off songs and full length records through labels and distro’s such as Mechanismz, Signifier, Das Bunker, NALOIVstudios and Connexion Bizzare. Fractured Transmission has also performed at a myriad of events ranging from industrial clubs and shows to festivals. Nick also likes dogs, modular synthesizers and breakfast burritos.
