Fourth Moon is an international instrumental folk band based in Glasgow, Scotland. The beginnings of the band occurred at a music session at the 2014 Willie Clancy Festival in Ireland when Géza Frank, Mohsen Amini and Jean Damei played together for the first time. Shortly afterwards, fiddler Jean-Christophe Morel joined and Fourth Moon was born. After a year of working, composing, arranging and research on their approach to traditional music, the group started to play at international festivals in 2015. A line up change in 2016 saw the introduction of David Lombardi from Italy on violin (he had been making music with Géza Frank and Jean Damei in various bands, such as "Parsec", for eight years prior to Fourth Moon). In 2018, accordionist Andrew Waite from Scotland joined the band. In 2018, the band released their first album, "Ellipsis". In 2020, Gaelic singer Ainsley Hamill joined the band. The band's second album, "Odyssey", was released in November 2021. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
