Artist
Fountaindale is the name given to the musical output of Hull born musician, Thom Partridge. Other contributors include Kristen Horner (cello), Jane Fredericks of The Vardenettes (vocals) and Evie Partridge (keyboards), Jeff Davenport (drums/percussion). In early 2018, Thom and Jeff recorded 50 one-take songs in a two day session, all of which were unrehearsed or previously heard in any form by drummer Jeff Davenport. From this session were taken the tracks for the 3 albums released simultaneously that year. (This is Fountaindale / The Gold Arm / Fear of Gravity). Overdubs and additional recording on the album was carried out at The Old Library in Mansfield and The Mill in West Bridgford. In 2019 the duo repeated the process of recording for two days un-rehearsed, and released 9 of the resulting 45 tracks as the album 'It Feels Real', which featured in Le Temps (Switzerland) as the number one 'lost' album of 2019. https://www.letemps.ch/culture/2019-quelques-disques-oublies User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
