Forest of Necromancy is a Melodic Death Metal band from Arendal, NORWAY. Formed in 2006 as "Black Magma", by Andreas Andersen and Henrik J. Ankervold, the band wasn't intended to be a very serious project. As they found out some dance/trance group had the same name as them, they changed the bands name to Forest of Necromancy. Summer -08 the drummer, Edward, joined in, and from there on the band played some small local concerts. Winter -09, Ida became the bands keyboard player. Early winter -10 the bassplayer Hans joined in, making the band complete. Autumn -10 Henrik decided to leave the band, and since then the band has been searching for a new potential lead guitarist. Currently Forest of Necromancy is developing new songs, and is hoping to come out with a demo by the end of 2011.
