Artist
Forbidden Broadway started in 1982 with Gerard Alessandrini, an unemployed actor who wanted to showcase his talents. He assembled his self-written Broadway parodies into a nightclub act which he performed at Palsson's Supper Club in Upper New York City, which became New York's longest running musical comedy revue. The victims of his work usually stop by to see their personas ridiculed in Alessandrini's bitingly acute comedic sarcasm. Forbidden Broadway is frequently updated, and holds special performances and tours, both national and international. The show is also known for its talented but unknown actors, some of which go on to achieve stardom on and off Broadway. Gerard Alessandrini remains Creator, Writer and Director of the show to this day. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
