"The band was formed in 2008 by the guitarist Ricardo Trajano and the vocalist André Rodrigues as they came together to record some songs and ideas. A year later they’re joined by the drummer Miguel Galveia and bassist Bruno Leite both ex-members of Omen From Hell and within a short time after by André Tomás guitarist. Hence the group emerges with this formation assuming themselves as For Ophelia’s Death in allusion to Shakespeare’s famous play Hamlet. Later on, after a long composing process, they decided to record their presentation EP also entitled For Ophelia’s Death constituted by 6 tracks. The effective recordings started in 2010 no longer with Bruno Leite. They opted by the Djungle Studios ( Ricardo Espinha, Marco Cipriano and Daniel Matias ) having proved their work through bands like More Than a Thousand, Fonzie and AOK. The project is finished in February 2011 and by then the group is joined by their present bassist Felipe Kopke former component of Eminence therefore consolidating all the elements necessary for the bands leap towards live performances. Their first concert took place on the 26th of February in the Resurrection Band Contest where competing against 200 other bands they achieved a fulfilling second place thus allowing them to play in a major metal festival with bands such as Pennywise, Meshuggah, Comeback Kid, Bullet for My Valentine and Bring Me The Horizon.
