There are several artist named for Esmé: 1) for esmé is the newest project by Martha Meredith. Produced by James Bunton, For Esmé is also the self-titled debut of this Toronto based band. 2) Formed in the frigid winter of 2008 by guitarist/vocalist Mark Jaeschke, multi-instrumentalist Jon Slusar, guitarist/vocalist Tim McPherrin and drummer/programmer Evan Loritsch, for Esmé has undergone many name changes (Carousel, here.finally and good weather for airstrikes to name a few), but now is a ready to function musical group. Taking bands such as Explosions in the Sky, Joy Division, Death Cab For Cutie, Smashing Pumpkins and My Bloody Valentine as reference points, the band promises to give a new and fresh look to 'alternative' and experimental rock.
