On January 8, 1994, Chris Robinson and Marc Ford of The Black Crowes participated in an impromptu performance with a handful of other artists. They dubbed themselves Foamfoot and performed a one-off show at the Troubador in Hollywood where they played classic rock covers. The show was recorded for potential release, but was never officially released. High-quality bootlegs, however, have circulated widely for years among tape traders and the Black Crowes fans, in general. The lineup consisted of: Chris Robinson (vocals, harmonica) and Marc Ford (guitar) of the Black Crowes Jimmy Ashhurst (bass) of the Izzy Stradlin And The Ju Ju Hounds and (after Foamfoot) Buckcherry Andy Sturmer (drums) of Jellyfish Eric Bobo (percussion) who played with Cypress Hill and the Beastie Boys Gary Louris (guitar) of The Jayhawks.
