Flo P.G., as she is called in the music industry, starting at the tender age of twelve. This talented songwriter, singer, guitarist and percussionist, was the youngest female to turn professional at age sixteen with the famous Martinican band: “Difé”, while still attending school. In Martinique, her native country, Flo was one of those responsible for encouraging bands to hire female vocalists as lead singers, a practice highly unheard of at that time. Flo then left for Paris, where she started a band called “Flo ET Douce’ in”. In 1997, she was nominated by SACEM (Martinique) for the “Best Song of the Year” with the song: “Imajiné-Ou”, which she wrote and performed with her band. The band performed for sold out audiences in France, Italy, Germany and Brazil. During the years of 1997 to 1999, Flo performed as a guitarist with Caribbean Soca band Byron Lee and the Dragonaires. Currently in Trinidad, Flo is making waves on the popular radio stations and in parties. She is the French voice on the track “Serious Matters” co-performed by Queen Omega on the “Voodoo Rhythm” and she also appears vocally on tracks such as “Freedom Chant”, “Nasty” and “Djoumbé”, all which she co-wrote with producer Keith Israel. To date, Flo has worked with labels such as Anima (Italy), Hibiscus Records (Paris / Martinique) and producers such as Kenny Philips and Keith Israel.
