The band Flatcat hails from the Belgian Bruges area. They soon started to emerge above the average mid '90 Belgian punkrockband: good songs, a strong live reputation and lots of humor in the set is what distinguished them from their competitors. This also caught the attention abroad. The band toured Brasil twice (in 2001 and 2002) in order to promote their debut album "Better Luck Next Time", and this automatically led to extra publicity and coverage in their own country. The band played every club, every youth house and almost every small and midscale festival! The sales figures of "the white album" exceeded all expectations, and even in Brasil the record sold well. Flatcat received numerous record deal offers but decided to remain loyal to EyeSpy Records, their Belgian label home since day one. The release party was played to a full house, more than 1000 people attended the show, unseen in Belgium for an independent band. When the first single "Hear Tonight" was picked up by Belgian national alternative radiostation Studio Brussel, it then appeared that the intensive touring had created a huge fanbase. Flatcat was ready to cross the punkrockboundaries. The single reached spot 9 in De Afrekening, the alternative charts of the nationally state owned radiostation Studio Brussel. The videoclip of the second single "Wait and See" got high rotation on both TMF (MTV Networks Benelux) and JIM TV. Not only in the media did the band do well, but the bigger festivals also started t
