Fjellelv is the side project of sole member, Thorn (Aristaeus, Amy, Magnetar, Heztael) Formed in 2006 as a way to thoroughly explore ambient sound-scapes, black metal, and neo-classical compositions. Early recordings were mostly Nature and Fantasy inspired. The debut entitled 'Daggryet Flammer' and released through Dungeons Deep Records is a good example with tracks like "Realms of The Sylvan Ghost".. "Dusk" and "Entering Winter's Reign" displaying heavily nature influences while other tracks such as "Arrival of The Horde" delved into a fantasy influenced "Battle Ambient" sound. Later works include "A Forest Funeral" released exclusively as a Free Download album. A Split entitled "Under The Red Sky" and the long awaited "Deadwood Realm" Released originally on Dead Moon Records and later through EEE Recordings (Njiqahdda) Recent tracks have ventured into a more Funeral Doom direction and subject matter focuses heavily on depression, nihilism, and absolute bleakness.
