Mixing the soaring guitar solos of AC/DC and Rush with the pop sensibilities of contemporaries such as the Marvelous 3 and Jimmy Eat World, Five Cent Wing was birthed into the North Carolina rock scene in late 2004 and soon found itself sharing the stage with national artists such as Sullivan (Tooth & Nail), Sunday Driver (Doghouse), and indie wunderkinds Annuals (Ace Fu). Fresh off a first place victory at the 2006 City of Raleigh Battle of the Bands and the release of a new album (All Hail the Summer Sun), the band is ready to take its toe-tapping tunes to all regions of the state and even further.
