Fever Season are an English electronica orientated indie-rock band hailing from the Isle of Wight and Southampton. The band consists of Zach Hayter (electronics/keys, guitar, lead vocal) Rob McGimpsey (bass guitar, vocals) Gareth Evans (guitar, vocals) Sean McGimpsey (drums and noisy stuff). Originally formed as a five-piece in 2007 under the name ‘Openroom’, they arrived to breathe new life into the Southampton music scene and have since supported the likes of Boy Kill Boy, The Holloways, Lightspeed Champion, Robots In Disguise, General Fiasco and local heroes, Delays. The change of name to Fever Season was spurred on by the departure of the original bass player, signalling a new chapter in the life of the band and introducing a fusion of electronica undertones with soaring guitars and vocals, dance grooves and anything pretty. After playing countless hometown shows over the last three years, Fever Season immediately hit the road as main support for Delays UK tour in December 09.
