Artist's Website: http://www.fernandojames.com Fernando James is a self taught composer & multi-instrumentalist who creates visual and emotive sound-scapes. His work shows a penchant for producing music that stimulates self-reflection. He performs with acoustic and electric guitars, acoustic and electric keyboards, bansuri flutes and other woodwinds, harps, mandolins, various percussion instruments, and Gigastudio samples. He terms his work “musical landscapes that reveal the eternal longing of the human spirit — music that weaves its way through your mind like a messenger from your soul.” His music is self-produced and engineered, and shows a versatility for drawing out strong melodies as a composer. His instrumentals capture the elements of an explorer, and the tracks on the album Solitude could be called introspective music for the muse. His music crosses boundaries and can easily be described as New Age, Spa, or Space music, but regardless of the classification, his work serves as a spring board for meditation and stress release. In the 1980’s he produced video and multi-media tracks for clients such as North American Philips, H&W Ventures, Martin Marietta, TVA, Coca-Cola, Goodies, ASARCO, and Whittle Communications to name a few. He has operated his own recording service and free-lanced as an audio field engineer for corporate clients all across the USA as well.
