Felice Bambini (Bologna, 1742 - Paris, 1810) was a musician of Italian origin who settled in France. He was a child prodigy on the harpsichord and already at the age of nine accompanied the orchestra of his father's opera troupe, Eustacchio (Pesaro, 1697-1770): the Compagnie des Bouffons (at the origin of the " Querelle des Jesters "). Established in Paris, from 1762 he became a pianoforte teacher and composer of instrumental and lyrical works. In his Letter on French Music ( 1753 ) Jean-Jacques Rousseau , likes to evoke his way of playing, which he compares favorably to that of the eminent harpsichordist Charles Noblet and which allows him to consolidate his bias for music.
