There are at least two artists with the name Fearless Leader. 1. A Seattle based math rock band (active from 2012 to present). 2. A Los Angeles based rock band (active from 1991 to 1992). 1. Fearless Leader is a progressive math rock and post-hardcore outfit from Seattle, Washington. Their sound was built around a self proclaimed need to write and play songs that are challenging technically, both lyrically and musically. The end result is an unusual mishmash of off-beat, polyrhythmic, sometimes brutal, sometimes melodic guitar riffs, sometimes thrashy, sometimes spoken word vocals, and a highly technical drum and bass collaboration. From the artist: "...the majority of us have been playing off and on in different Seattle bands for years. We've always kept it loud, we've always kept it technical, but FL is the first band that really let's us do all the crazy shit we want."
