Fear of the Storm is a gothic rock band from Enna, Sicily, Italy. The group started in January 1991 under the name Storm. The first line-up included Carl Hoax (Carlo Disimone, guitar and vox), Valy Ash (Valeria Buono, keyboards and vox), Mad (Antonio Oliveri, bass), and Rasta (Massimiliano Busa, drums). This line up released a demo tape titled "R.I.P.", which was very favourably welcomed. After about one year, the name of the band changed to Fear of the Storm and shared a split tape with Ataraxia for the Necrodark fanzine. Nearly at the same time, Rasta left the band and the remaining three piece decided on using a drum machine. The band was signed by Energeia, and at the end of 1992 recorded the long and much praised tape album "The Key of My Silence". In June 1993 Tony Harlot (Tony Colina) was recruited on vocal duties, thus establishing the final line-up for the band. At the end of the same year, FotS recorded "... so sad to die in oblivion ...", a new tape album, which was released in June 1994 to widespread acclaim. In January 1995 Fear of the Storm recorded their first CD, a mini album titled "1995", which was released the following April. In April 1996 the band recorded what should have been their first long playing CD, their partnership with Energeia ceased to be, and some time later FotS decided to stop all activities. The CD has never been released so far. In their career, FotS have toured extensively throughout Italy, have been reviewed by or featured in the most i
