Based out of Syracuse, NY Fazeshift was officially formed in 2005, but shares a long and rich history of friendship, faith and dedication to both their music and their purpose. The rock/pop quartet has a well established fan base and an even more established message. Setting out to do more than just play music; they wish to have an impact on, and make a difference in, the lives of teenagers around the world! Comprised of Joey Bolognone (lead vocal, guitar, and keyboard), Josh Salvage (drums), John Paul McLaughlin (lead guitar), and Alec Gilfillan (bass), the focus of the band is to provide inspiration and send a message of hope and direction. The band’s name, Fazeshift, was derived from the mathematical term ‘phase shift’ which describes the shift a sine curve must make when it changes position on a graph. The band paralleled this concept to life and their beliefs that the world needs to change or ‘shift’ from where it current stands. The band believes the only way to change this world is through the love of Jesus Christ and it is their hope to change the world as we know it by shifting it in a better direction – hence Fazeshift was born! Fazeshift notes their influences as many. Their parents and family have been first and foremost in providing the support and direction when they needed it most.
