The solo project of Scottish multi-instrumentalist Dave McIntosh, Fathom The Sky returns with a 6 track release which fuses Shoegaze, Ambience, post rock guitars and contemporary classical instrumentation into a shining, shimmering beacon of Light from Dark. Hailing from the birthplace of The Cocteau Twins and Lowlife, Dave is probably best known for his time in the punk rock road machine that was @Shatterhand and he is currently in @Cold Meridian with fellow ex - Shatterhand members Stuart and Mike, a darker, more Post-Punk outfit who exploded onto the scene earlier this year with the debut album "In the Absence of all Hope". He also has spent time in Turtlehead, Barefoot, Beauty School Dropout and a host of others. Dave himself sums up the record - "In the darkest of times, it's those little shards of light that keep you going. A sound.... a refrain.... a long forgotten memory shared by an old friend......in those moments, you suddenly remember that there is still beauty out there, that there is still something worth striving for....and the darkness lifts for a brief, beautiful, brilliant second. This record is one of those rays of light for me, by creating light from the darkness, something beautiful from the most emotionally brutal of times......".
