There are more than one band that currently goes by the name Fashionably Late. In 2004 John (guitar) and Ben (vox) met when Atreyu played at Ziggy's [RIP] in Winston Salem then later introduced him to Will, who played drums in two other bands but wanted to explore the world of progressive hardcore. A quick bassist change and Lee completed the quartet bringing with him a funk infusion that complemented the heavy breakdowns and soaring melodies in a unique way that very quickly made Fashionably Late a contender in the North Carolina hxc scene. The band went on semi-permanent hiatus in 2007 after the members literally spread themselves across the country to pursue college and beyond.
