Farfara is a band from İstanbul whose members are Etkin Cekin, Tolga Böyük and Eralp Güven. A band which has invented itself with a psychedelic brew of kraut drums, shoegazing guitars, airy synths, ethereal vocals, lots of Love and a clear commitment to pop. Etkin Cekin and Tolga Böyük meet each other in 2001 at the age of 15, thanks to a school competition for the best cover song... Before the end of 2009, after Etkin and Tolga bring their bedroom records together, the trio eventually forms itself in İstanbul, giving life to Farfara. Within two months, they record a diversity of music, but most clearly an Ambient Disco debut album "Farfara". It is released in early 2010 from Bandcamp. Six months later Etkin moves to Berlin. Now, in spite of the distance, new tracks are shared and developed via internet and one-on-one visits. They are mostly having improvisation based sessions through the times they meet and this causes a stylistic evolution in their sound. Farfara's new album ''Garden'', is likely to be out in August 2012 as LP and CD formats and they are going to conquer the world. This is the plan, at least ...
