Long time lo fi band, has gone mid fi over the years. Lots of genre hopping a-la Ween. Many songs have literate, yet comedic, lyrics. Increasingly the songs are instrumentals. Most of the bands songs are written through the mail, or over the Internet, and the band members do not generally know each other. The main Farces' person is Dave W., an anarchic (for a lawyer anyway) California lawyer. Although the band averaged an album a year from 1990-1999, the output has slowed, with latest records being: Mess Of Pottage (2000), If Not Why Not? (2003) and Calm Blue Ocean Calm Blue Ocean (scheduled late 2006).
