Famke Louise is a Dutch singer, YouTuber and model. She first rose to prominence in 2016 with her own YouTube-channel, on which she posted prank videos and vlogs. In 2017, she also appeared on the tv-show Models in Paris. In the end of 2017, Famke released her debut single “Op Me Monnie”. It immediately went viral, with many criticising Famke’s singing and lyricism. Within 24 hours, the video had already received over half a million views. Within a week, the video had received over 3 million views, breaking multiple records. The song debuted and peaked at #2 on the Downloads Top 100, but failed to chart on the official Dutch Top 40. The song received multiple parodies and was remixed by rappers Frenna and Boef. Their version also debuted and peaked at #2 on the Downloads Top 100. Multiple singles followed, which all went viral upon release and attracted many hate comments. She then entered a highly publicized relationship with rapper Ronnie Flex. Together they released three singles, including the Top 10-hit “Fan”. The single achieved one million streams within one day, a record at the time. Her single “Slide” with Caza became a club hit. Famke also became a prominent television figure, appearing on Expeditie Robinson and receiving her own documentary. In 2020, she made a documentary called Bont Girl (translated as Fur Girl) in which she exposed the Chinese fur industry. She also released her debut album NEXT, which underperformed on the charts.
