Artist
Falsobordone was founded in 1995 and has since become one of Sweden’s leading medieval music ensembles, appearing on most major medieval festivals and events throughout Sweden and Europe. In 2004 Falsobordone made it to the final of ”Young Artist's Presentation for Early Music” in Antwerp. The members have studied in the School of Music in Göteborg and the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and are all active in numerous early music and traditional music ensembles. Falsobordone performs mostly Italian and Spanish music of the 13th and 14th centuries (hence the name – “Falsobordone” is a contemporary music-making technique). However, Falsobordone also performs traditional Swedish music on instruments like Swedish bagpipe (säckpipa), harp and Nyckelharpa (keyed fiddle) and regularly holds workshops in Sweden, USA and Germany.
