Fall of the Grey-Winged One is one of many drone/ambient projects of Stijn van Cauter, also known for his work in "Until Death Overtakes Me", "Dreams of Dying Stars", "The Ethereal", and many others. The music has been compared greatly to Earth and Sunn o))), but with a much bigger orientation towards dark ambient, making use of electric violins, synths, and drum machines. Cauter's debut album, "Aeons of Dreams" has been re-released through Supernal music, as of April, 2006. As with many of his projects, Stijn van Cauter releases his music for free on his website.
