Falcongate is a Gyula-based rock band that gained a small following in the mid-'90s. The band is comprised of Adam (vocals), Andrew (guitar), Pisti (bass) and Tom (drums). The group formed in 1994 and became fixtures on the Hungarian hardcore-punk scene. Falcongate, having been around for almost a full decade, has chosen to stay with sounds that work for them, trying to get the best out of themselves. Yet it has managed to combine some of the best elements of hardcore, emo, pop and punk. Their catchy melodies permeate with a heartfelt, honest rock mood . In 2000, a well-known hungarian independent label released the band's debut album, "Long way to go". The next recordings, a 5 song EP called "5 songs 'till Adam gets here" and a three-way split release with Alvin és a Mókusok and Moronique came out to excellent reviews in late 2000. In December 2000, Adam (vocals) joined the lineup, adding a new layer of fun to the band's playing. With the new singer, Alvin records released "Confessions through phone", the album which helped expand the group's fan base. By 2003, the band had played a lot of shows over Hungary and Europe, and started to work on their third full-length record. "Blood red roses came out in early 2004 and will surely remain a favorite. This album helped the band reach places they've never been before. The events speeded up, they shot two videos for "trip over" and "layed out", and the drive could not be broken by the arrival of the new drummer neither. The band r
