Post-Punk/New Wave band from Monza (Lombardia, Italy). The first formation starts like Panico in 1982 (a sort of folk punk band), but shortly the project adopts the definitive name of Faded Image. First formation: Daniele Manini (guitar & voice), Roberto Barbini (keyboards, synths), Marco Manini (guitar), Davide Colzani (bass), Angelo Ros (drums). In the time other elements collaborate to the project: Enzo Onorato (bassist 1984-1986), Fabrizio Spadea (bassist of the last period), Angelo Cosenza and Luigi Colombo (drummers). In their short career they were in contact with the best italian underground wave circuit, famous the collaboration with the other new wave band from Monza, ‘The Underground Life’ of Giancarlo Onorato. Giancarlo Onorato will be the executive producer of their first Ep (‘Modern’ 1984) and Roberto Barbini will be a collaborator (like synthetizer) of The Underground Life in the 1983-1993 period. A musical exchange very productive (saving the difference of the both projects). The band will produce an original wave sound beetwen synthpop and a classical post-punk structure. They will disband in the 1991 after 7 years of good discographic production and appreciated live activity. Daniele Manini and Roberto Barbini will continue with other projects their musical activity (especially with the combat folk band ‘Circo Fantasma’). Principal influence: British dark-wave. The Stranglers. Discography : 1984, “Modern” (EP - Supporti Fonografici) 1985, “Afterglow” (
