FACE PLANT BIO Hailing from the depths of Houston's Southside, FacePlant has begun to explode in the local music scene. Originally performing under the name 'Sucker Punch', they began rocking crowds in early 1995 and quickly established a faithful following. This six man band has put together a CD entitled “Get Some”, consisting of ten of the band's most popular songs. Labeled by local press as 'hip hop, harmonizing, phunk-n-roll mobsters', FacePlant has established a sound all of it's own. The band's music grabs the listener with ear pleasing vocal lines, upbeat changes, and a steady onslaught of percussive nuance--they capture their audience and won't let go! After winning a contest to find Houston's top alternative act, Face Plant is receiving airplay and promotions on Houston's #1 alternative rock radio station: KTBZ 107.5, The Buzz. Altogether, Face Plant has become a well-oiled machine featuring an ass-kickin' stage shows fueled by a wide range of musical influences. Look for FacePlant to be in your town and record store soon!
