FRIA KONSTELLATIONEN started out as a wild improvisation unit in Linköping, Sweden in the summer of 2003. At the time, all members were active in the music and art collective SINGSANG, arranging gigs, clubnights and festivals as well as producing illegal radio shows. The first chaotic appearance under the name FRIA KONSTELLATIONEN was a haunting display of free form krautrock, noise and drone, setting the standards for forthcoming shows. Playing as much with as against each others, the result is often an unpredictable freak-out blend of minimalism and maximalism. After several cdr releases the first full length cd came out in early 2008. These days, most members are residing in Malmö.
