Spring of 2003 brought the typical April showers, May flowers, June gloom and band creations, if the advertisements in the San Diego Reader were any indication. If a band needed an Accordion player or an Orangutan, it was in there. The advertisement that caught Josh’s eye, though, was a simple, two-line question: “Do you rock but your band doesn’t? San Diego band needs a singer…” and with that brash request, FM Revolver was born. Spring of 2009 finds FM Revolver – Chris, Aaron, Andy, Josh and Mike - planted firmly in the midst of San Diego’s rock scene, with fans, venues, radio and print media alike poised for their follow up to the 2005 Leaving Madeira EP, with their first full length independent release scheduled for June 2009. Building on the success of Leaving Madeira brings the band face to face with the beauty of musical evolution, with a sound developed and molded into a blend of progressive melodies, heart-wrenching lyrics, and crushing guitar lines that bring even the most hardened veterans to their feet. While it may not be difficult to find members of a band with such eclectic tastes, it may be rare to see those influences formed into such a cohesive group in this genre. From groups like A Perfect Circle, Filter, The Cure, Alice in Chains, and a host of indie and electronic acts, FM Revolver’s influences range across the board. From these pioneers, the common lesson that has developed is to always create, evolve, and define music in their own way, and FM Revolve
