about

Micha Sportelli - Swiss singer – songwriter with Italian roots, has been on the world stage as a professional musician for over fourteen years and never stands still. To rousing melodies he sings – always barefoot – of what moves and preoccupies us and sings straight to our hearts. In English and Italian, the former Pegasus member invites us to be transported by his music and his stories. In the last few years he has played on national and international stages both solo and with his band – young musicians of Italian, English and Canadian descent, drawn from across the whole of Switzerland. His credentials in recent years include, among others, appearances as support act to Züri West, Heidi Happy, Jack Savoretti and The Young Gods; Festivals Zermatt Unplugged, Blue Balls, Gurten Festival and the Montreux Jazz Festival. He has also played in Kaufleuten Zurich; was invited by Quiksilver Pro France to take part in French concerts and has performed in Germany and England (in London, as artist-in- residence at the House of Switzerland at the Olympic Games in 2012). In 2013 he performed solo in front of 10,000 people at the Stars of Sound Festival in Murten. In March 2014, Sportelli will perform as opener on the tour by Bastian Baker. Songs from his debut album “One Of The Lost” which, in 2012, Micha Sportelli single – handedly and without financial support produced and recorded, found their way onto Swiss-wide radio. In May 2012, Swiss radio DRS named him as Best Talent of the Mont
