Exhausted Pipes is a 3-piece rock band based out of Berkeley, CA. Singer/songwriter and guitarist Hunter Steers, drummer David Mayman and bassist Andy Landgraf produce a tight, original sound and a provide a great entertaining live performance. With a loud blues-based attack and a heavy indie rock sound, Exhausted Pipes is sure to get your average smoky, drunken bar room crowd dancing. Sound Influenced by early 60s British beatgroups and electric folk artists (The Kinks, The Beatles, Bob Dylan), modern garage rock and post-punk revival groups (Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, The White Stripes, The Raconteurs), and several indie rock bands (The Fratellis, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah), you can be sure that you've never heard anything quite like them. Exhausted Pipes focuses on an extremely high-quality sound in live and recorded performances and self-records, produces, engineers, and self-masters all they’re material so far. Early Years Formed in 2009 at the University of the Pacific, Stockton, CA, during the members’ college years, the band was created as a 2-piece garage band by Hunter Steers (vocals/guitar) and Ian Keighley (vocals/drums) of Avon Union, but has since expanded into a 3-piece containing members of both Avon Union (Stockton, CA) and Sick Boy (Stockton, CA).
