Robert FRIPP et ses entrelacements de guitare ont manifestement influencé EXCLUSIVE RAJA, même si cette formation française actuelle possède une personnalité très affirmée. "Off The Map" (1994) et "Insubmersible" (1995) sont deux albums uniques, difficiles à rapprocher de quelque chose de connu, mais excellents dans leur démarche et leur exécution. Emmenés par les guitaristes François GOETHALS et Bertrand DUPOUY, les musiciens lillois ont su émailler leurs compositions de vocaux mélodieux et de touches exotiques, pour un voyage autour de la terre plein de fraîcheur... L'on notera en particulier un hommage à THE BEATLES et une reprise d'un titre de THE SMITHS, présents sur le premier opus. A ne surtout pas manquer !
