There are at least two groups/bands known as Evil Madness: 1 - We are truly dealing with a super group of a kind – behind the disturbing name stand men like Stilluppsteypa, DJ Musician, Jóhann Jóhannsson, BJ Nilsen and occasionally Curver. In happy reunion they bring us dark and diabolic electronic ambience and abstractions, which tend to break into beats. All conveyed on laptops en masse, mixers, analogue synthesizers, and a godawful evil Hammond organ. The band is by no means trying to hide their love for 70s horror soundtracks by the likes of Italian Goblin and Ennio Morricone, but also Kraftwerk and Aphex Twin-inspired tones pull the record towards modern electro-ambience. The electro-horror meisters of Evil Madness however sound like no one else on this side of the millennium, and their musical universe plays with the ambivalence between fear and delight; between the sweet ’n’ saccharine and the murderous affectionate. They love us and they want to eat us for dinner, and the debut ‘Demon Jukebox’ is only an appetizer. Demon Jukebox was out on 12 Tónar in October 2006. 2 - Thrash metal band from Chile formed in 2003. They have released 4 demos and 2 full-length albums.
