Bridgend-based five piece Evil-i come storming out from the recent welsh music scene with a blistering combination of influences ranging from snarly, melodic vocal lines inspired by the likes of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden to hooky riffs reminiscent of Incubus, Coheed & Cambria or even Rage Against The Machine, enfused with quirky drumwork found with such acts as The Used and From First To Last. It's this wide range of influences to draw from that create their unique, yet varied sound. Yet it is merely a reflection of the varied musical tastes amongst the band members. But rather than an obstacle, wethey implement it as an advantage. Originality, and energy flowing through the music, these are the things that Evil i thrive on. Evil-i have been playing together as a five-piece since late 2005, and are now looking to take shows further afield. After an eventful hiatus, taken to work on an entire set of new material, they've returned with a new sound, a boosted confidence and a new attitude. Evil-i changed their name to 'Colours of One' in 2009. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
