Evil Coffee is the alias of a 27 year old musician from Belgium. When he was a toddler, his mother often found him drumming away on the pots and pans in her kitchen. At age 12, he was introduced to the music of Bonzaï Records, and it was love at first sight. He has looked for good electronic music ever since. When he was 16, he made his first song in a simple sequencing program. Although this was a good first learning experience, it wasn't something that built in a straight line from there. Evil Coffee simply couldn't afford a powerful enough computer and sequencer at the time, so he decided to concentrate on DJ-ing instead. This has developed his musical taste further, although he wasn't very good at mixing. In 2008, he decided that he longer wanted to be behind the turntables, and returned to his original musical plan: To produce songs himself. After many, many try-outs, he produced a song that he thought was good enough for others to hear. He presented the song, "The Projects (Rapid Eye mix)" to a befriended DJ, who played it in front of 500 people at a 2008-2009 newyear party. The crowd received the song very well, and a few people even stepped up to the DJ to ask what record was just played. This has stimulated Evil Coffee to produce more music, which -according to his friends and fans- he still gets a little better at with every song he makes. His musical influences include, but are not limited to: Bonzaï Records, Studio Brussels' Teknoville, the I Love Techno series,
