Evenlight were a rock / Metal band from Vancouver and featured some musicians connected to Strapping Young Lad and Devin Townsend, as well as Bif Naked and Seven Ways From Sunday. They have two full length albums out, but both are not easy to get. The first is self titled and was released in 2002. The second is titled "Fuck Yeah" and was released in 2005. The first album is downloadable in full 320KBps. +++ Chapter 1-From the Beginning Deep in the heart of a magical place called Surrey, BC Brian Waddell (Devin Townsend Band), Munesh Sami, (ex-Strapping Young Lad keyboard player) Ross Gale, and some other guy, formed a band of likes that had never been seen, and it was dubbed Bombscare. In the mid 90’s Bombscare recorded their first demo, produced by Devin Townsend, called Surface Units. Surface Units was groove oriented metal, simple songs that rocked. Brian wrote the songs and Ross wrote the lyrics. The demo went over well with the local Vancouver rock scene and Bombscare was starting to build a name for themselves. The guy who played bass, was soon replaced by Dean Zimmer. Dean brought a new influence to the band. he was into the death metal scene and wrote some brutal riffs. The next demo entitled ‘Look Out…He’s Got a Shiv! was much heavier than the previous demo. Blast beats combined with crazy ass guitar riffs made Bombscare a feared metal band in town.
