about

Even Kern, singer-songwriter-producer is no stranger to the music business coming from a musical family and owner of the acclaimed recording studio Imperial Sound in Norway. Stepping into the spotlight with the release of his solo debut album “Did”, Even Kern returns to the basics of good-solid melodic pop-rock songwriting featuring his uniquely styled vocals. Influenced by pop icons including David Bowie and Elton John with a sound reminiscent of contemporary artists such as Robbie Williams and Espen Lind, Even Kern delivers a sophisticated and memorable pop album. “Did” was produced by KB Asphol and co-produced by Even Kern at A'spool Studios in Oslo and features musicians Magnus Westgaard (from the band “Fountainheads”) on Bass , Geir Holten (from the band “7 Days and a Miracle”) on Drums and producer KB Asphol (from the band “PostScriptum”) on guitars. Highlights of the album include tracks such as the addictive first single “That’s Entertainment” and blissfully written ballads like “An Angel’s Silhouette” and “Good Morning, Paris.” Recently invited to perform on the new Scandinavian singer-songwriter music series Hitmakers filmed in Stockholm, Even Kern introduced his song “That’s Entertainment” to television audiences in Norway. In addition to promoting his new release, Even Kern continues to work with new talent in Norway at his studio Imperial Sound both writing and producing genres ranging from Pop to Industrial/Rock to Classical/New Age/Soundtrack.
