There are at least 3 bands named Eustace: 1. Eustace was an indie rock band from Brick, New Jersey, United States, was the brainchild of songwriter Chris Stanislawski. Stanislawski allowed the act to evolve from a solo acoustic project to a full band featuring, at various times, Anthony Kurilla of Passengers and Their Baggage, Matt Morano and Tom Belluscio of Red Lights, and Eric Friedman of The Eden Manifest, as well as drummer Craig Biebel. The band was active during 2006 and 2007. myspace.com/eustacesound 2. Eustace from Eureka, California, United States came together mid 2005 after playing under a different name for about 18 months. Having recorded an EP and LP during that time period and playing plenty of live shows in and out of Humboldt County, the band decided to move into somewhat different directions, both musically and lyrically. To facilitate this change in direction, the Roberts brothers began writing songs together and experimenting with arrangements with a small home studio setup. Drummer, William Startare brings a unique energy to the band thanks to his background in both jazz and rock drumming while guitarist Austin Roberts brings an atmospheric element to the bands sound thanks to his use of loops, keys, and effects. With Tristin's sense of melody and dynamic range and bassist Derek Chaney's sense of the groove, the band is able to craft songs that are exciting and original. myspace.com/eustaceband Both bands were named after the character Eustace Clare
